Dr. Verma was born in Edmonton, Alberta. He attended the University of Alberta and earned a Bachelor of Science with Distinction in Biology. Dr. Verma then studied medicine at the University of Alberta and completed the Special Training In Research program. In 2014, Dr. Verma started his residency in Internal Medicine.
After completing his Internal Medicine training he joined the Cardiology program at the University of Alberta and was chief resident. He completed additional research in cardiac intensive care, has authored published papers in this area, and received the Jose Galante cardiovascular research award. Dr. Verma then joined a critical care fellowship and additional subspecialty training in transesophageal echocardiography at the University of Alberta.
Dr. Verma is very pleased to help provide cardiovascular care to central Albertans.
